In the new pilot plant, new steel material for high temperature application of turbo loaders and the including foundry techniques will be developped. 'The new materials have got excellent properties, but are difficult to assilate. To optimize both, is the primate target of the project', said Prof. Gotthard Wolf, Director of the Foundry.

[Attachment]'For our University, the application oriented development of technology is also a top goal which should pursued', the rector of the TU Bergakademie Dresden, Prof. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Barbknecht, said. 'Especially our Foundry Institute is very well connected with the steel industry and often got a strong support by third means.' The plant has already been visited at 22 June by the American consul general, Timothy Eydelnant from Leipzig, at his information trip at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
