Maximum production and delivery(1) realised in lignite

Marketable production of solid fuels were 569 950 tonnes for hard coal, 16 452 303 tonnes for lignite and 1 007 607 tonnes for coke derived from hard coal in the third quarter of 2012. For the same quarter deliveries were 7 229 640 tonnes for hard coal, 15 686 815 tonnes for lignite and 1 112 958 tonnes for coke derived from hard coal.

Lowest ratio of deliveries to production(2) was in hard coal

According to data of 2012 third quarter, lowest ratio of deliveries to marketable production is in hard coal by 7.9% . Beside this, ratio is 104.9% for lignite and 99.5% for coke derived from hard coal.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to the thermal power plants

Distribution of solid fuels according to breakdown of main delivery places were 40.2% to thermal power plants, 20.4% to coking plants, 7.8% to industry (without iron and steel industry) for hard coal, 87.8% to thermal power plants, 6.3% to industry (without iron and steel industry) for lignite, 96.7% to iron and steel industry for coke derived from hard coal in the third quarter of 2012.

(3) Coke in tables and graphs refers to coke derived from hard coal.
