TAIEX Increases by Approximately 5.02% this Week, while the Total Market Capitalization of the TWSE-listed Stocks Reached 23.96 trillion NTD.
According to the statistics of TWSE, TAIEX closed at 8,145.21 on January 30, 2016, up 389.03 from last week's (January 22, 2016) 7,756.18, an increase of approximately 5.02%. The FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 Index closed at 5,944.45, up 296.93 from last week's 5,647.52, an increase of approximately 5.26%. The Formosa Index closed at 9,476.52, up 461.83 from last week's 9,014.69, an increase of approximately 5.12%.
The total trading value for year-to-date on the TWSE market was 1.73 trillion NTD.
The total market capitalization of the TWSE-listed Stocks amounted to 23.96 trillion NTD at the end of this week.
