Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia : The value of agricultural products purchased in November 2016 almost 7% higher than in November 2015

The value of purchase in the group arable farming higher than a year ago

In November 2016 the value of purchased products in the group arable farming was 16% higher than in November 2015; it amounted to EUR 3.8 million. Much higher than a year before was the value of purchased industrial plants; higher was the quantity of purchased hops as well as the average price of the product. The value of purchased vegetables was higher by 19% and of cereals by more than 7%. The value of purchased potatoes was lower almost by a half (lower was the quantity of purchased potatoes as well as the average price).

In November 2016 the value of purchase in the group fruit and wine growing amounted to EUR 7.3 million, which is 13% more than in November 2015. The value of purchased grape for industry went up the most; much higher was also the value of purchased plants. The value of purchased alcoholic drinks was higher by 5% (higher was the quantity of purchased table wine). The value of purchased fruits was lower than a year before.

The value of purchase in the group livestock breeding higher than a year ago

In November 2016 the value of purchased products in the group livestock breeding was 4% higher than in November 2015; it amounted to EUR 31.4 million. Higher than a year before were the values of purchased livestock and eggs, while the value of purchased poultry was lower. The value of purchased milk was lower by almost 5%.
