In December total consumption of electricity increased by 4% over the same period one year ago

Compared with previous month production of electricity in December 2015 decreased by 3% but supply of energy commodities increased.

Decrease of total net electricity generation in December compared to November
In December 2015 total net electricity generation was 1173 GWh, compared to Novemberr 2015 decreased by 3% and consumption was 1196 GWh, compared to November 2015 increased by 2%. Hydro power plants generation decreased by 27%, generation in the thermal power plants increased by 8% and nuclear power plant increased by 3%.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in December 2015 also increased by 21%.
In December 2015, 875 GWh of electricity was imported and 815 GWh was exported.
Increase of energy supply in December 2015
In December 2015 supply of energy commodities in general went up as 40% with Heavy Fuel Oil, 28% with Lignite, 25% with LPG, 24% with Heating and Other Gasoil, 17% with Natural Gas and 11% with Motor Gasoline. Compared with previous month we further noticed supply fell as 44% with Other Petroleum Products, 34% with Transport Diesel Oil, 14% with Coke oven Coke and 6% with Kerosene Jet Fuel.
