Standard Charitable Foundation Awards $7,500 Grant to Habitat for Humanity to Build New Frostburg Home

LaVale, Md. - Standard Charitable Foundation has awarded a $7,500 grant to Allegany County Habitat for Humanity (ACHFH) to assist with the purchase of materials and construction costs for Habitat's next housing project in Frostburg, Maryland.

Allegany County Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes in partnership with families in need, working with individuals and organizations who donate time, talents, materials and funds to assist in building homes. Habitat families help build the home and purchase it through a no-interest mortgage.

'With the help of Standard Bank, we have been able to fund the building of three homes in Allegany County and we look forward to our next build,' said Terri Lowery, President of ACHFH. 'We couldn't do it without the generous support of Standard Bank, along with the many donations of time, energy and money that we receive from so many people in our community.'

Standard Charitable Foundation's mission is to provide financial support to not for profit organizations in the communities in which Standard Bank operates.
