Moeller elected to serve as SD Pork Producers Council's President for a 2nd Term

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The South Dakota Pork Producers Council (SDPPC) elected
Lester Moeller, a pork producer from Miller, SD, to serve as president for a second term.
Moeller stated "It is with excitement that I will serve another year as the chair-person of the South Dakota Pork Producers. I can see numerous challenges ahead to our industry, but nothing that we can't handle. Some problems may be contemptuous and others uplifting. I know our organization well and the people who have worked to make our industry better. I know that with these members' efforts it will help the trends continue into the future. If I or the staff can help anyone with answering any questions of our industry please give us a call."
Lester has used a pitch fork, a John Deere. A is the model number of the tractor. Back in the 40's when it was purchased you could buy either a B or A series. , a ventium board, and a GPS system in his farming career. He graduated from SDSU in Ag.-Ed, taught school, and served in Mali with the Peace Corps before he moved back to farm. He and his wife, Rosemary has three grown children out making their way in the
world. They farm 2300 acres and finish out roughly 9000 pigs a year. In their spare time they fish, hike, canoe and explore the world having now seen all seven continents.
The board also re-elected Ryan Strom of Mt. Vernon, SD as first vice president and Ferlyn Hofer of Canastota, SD as second vice president for the South Dakota Pork Producers Council Executive Board.
