Shaanxi Enterprises International Investment Services Co., Ltd. Visited CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center

On 9 April 2021, Yang Hao, General Manager, Li Jinghui, Head of International Department, Jing Yang, Head of Corporate Planning Department, and Wang Dong, staff of International Department, all from Shaanxi Enterprises International Investment Services Co., Ltd.('SEIIS'), Ltd, made a visit to CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center. They were warmly received by Ms. Jiang Hongmei, Assistant Secretary-General of CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center, and a talk was held between the two sides.

Ms. Jiang Hongmei gave a brief introduction of the advantages of CIETAC's foreign-related commercial arbitration, the integrated management of CIETAC headquarter and its sub-commissions, as well as the theoretical and practical achievements made in the process of serving the countries along the 'Belt and Road'. She highly praised the efforts made by SEIIS since its establishment, to raise the capability of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the trading companies to control the risks of outbound investment and to profit among the overseas projects. She said, SEIIS has actively built up a good platform, organized the resources and provided services for enterprises' overseas investments; CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center, also, will offer multiple services of dispute settlement like arbitration and mediation to enterprises, with the service concept of independence, impartiality and efficiency. Meanwhile, it will maximize its function of public legal services and cooperate with SEIIS to conduct activities such as interviews, investigation and training courses so as to promote the enterprises' comprehensive competitiveness enterprises in outbound investment.

General Manager Yang Hao introduced the establishment of the SEIIS and its development strategy. He said that SEIIS aimed at providing enterprises with, based on the local economy, all-round management services in terms of preventing risks, among which commercial arbitration was a crucial part in overseas investment. He hoped to conduct investigation and training with multiple measures, and gradually improve the capacity of enterprises to understand and utilize commercial arbitration, with the support from the international platform of CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center through their further cooperation. Meanwhile, the resources for foreign-related services should be better integrated, and enterprises are encouraged to go out to develop their foreign trade. By strengthening the capability to prevent and minimize the risks in the whole process of outbound investment, enterprises would further enhance their say and competitiveness in the global market.

The discussions also concerned the management and investment of the enterprises in Shaanxi Province, the promotion of arbitration and the arbitration procedure of CIETAC etc., with positive and productive results.
