Governor Walker is Working for Wisconsin

[Madison, Wis.] - When Governor Scott Walker took office in January 2011, Wisconsin was headed down the wrong path. Unemployment had peaked at 9.2% under the former governor and the state was shedding jobs with no end in sight. High taxes and excessive red tape suffocated job creators and working families.

Governor Walker took bold action to turn Wisconsin around. He balanced a $3.6 billion budget deficit without raising taxes. In fact, he cut taxes by over $2 billion, and property taxes on the median value home will be lower in 2018 than in 2010; and he made sure that job creators have the tools needed to create jobs. Today, Wisconsin is working and moving in the right direction.
