Reichhold announced a price increase today on all unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl esters. The selling price increase applies to all products sold in the United States and Canada and is effective for all orders shipped on or after February 17, 2017.

  • Isophthalic acid based unsaturated polyester resins sold in North America will increase by $0.07 USD per pound
  • Vinyl ester resins sold in North America will increase by $0.07 USD per pound
  • All other UPR’s (not including isophthalic) sold in North America will increase by $0.04 USD per pound

Lou Tirreno, Sales Director North American Composites, stated, “Escalating raw material prices and limited supply of some raw materials continue to increase our costs. Raw materials are expected to rise continually through the first quarter primarily the result of planned and unplanned outages of key raw material producers and increased demand due to depleted inventories. Reichhold continues to work with its suppliers to minimize cost increases and the impact they have on its customers.”
