Southwest Engineers Inc., a full-service civil and environmental engineering firm, today announced Refugio County Water Control and Improvement District (WCID) No. 1 in Tivoli, Texas has joined the customer roster.

Refugio County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 hired Southwest Engineers to research and apply for grant funding, as well as handle the design and construction, for the installation of an arsenic treatment removal system.

Southwest Engineers has worked with Refugio County for many years. The District hired SWE for their extensive knowledge in securing and successfully managing grants through the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) Program, administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture – Office of Rural Affairs (TDA-ORA). In addition, the District sought Southwest Engineer’s ample expertise in selecting, designing and providing construction oversight for an appropriate arsenic removal system that will meet TCEQ and EPA guidelines.
