Roy D. Mease was reappointed to the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, by Pasadena City Council. He was originally appointed to serve on the Port Commission in September 2013. Mr. Mease serves on the Port Commission’s Procurement & Small Business Task Force and the Community Relations Committee.

An active member of the community, Mr. Mease serves as chairman of the Pasadena Second Century Corporation, which is the city’s economic development entity and helped Pasadena earn the annual Community Economic Development Award for 2013, awarded by the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC).

Mr. Mease served as a member of the Pasadena City Council for eight years. He also served as president of the Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo and has been a director of that organization for more than 40 years.

Mr. Mease has a private practice in Pasadena and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from the South Texas College of Law.

Port Commissioners serve two-year terms without pay.
