Chief Risk Officer for Skyline National Bank

JANUARY 14, 2019. Independence, VA - Skyline National Bank has named Beth Worrell of Galax, VA as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.

"We are pleased that Beth has joined us. In her new role with our bank, she will lead Skyline National Bank's compliance, audit and risk teams and will be a valuable business partner to all areas of our organization. Her years of experience in audit, compliance and finance will serve us well today, and will help lead our bank into the future," stated Skyline National Bank President & CEO Blake Edwards.

For the past six years, Worrell has been the owner of BWorrell Consulting, and has provided audit, credit review and compliance assistance to Skyline National Bank, as well as other community banks in Virginia and North Carolina. Prior to starting her own business, Worrell worked as a shareholder with a large regional public accounting firm.
