Rep. Bentz Encourages Oregonians to Contact Governor Regarding Damaging Minimum Wage Proposal

SALEM-Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-Ontario) asks that workers, businesses, senior citizens, and not- for-profit organizations contact Governor Brown and members of the Oregon House & Senate to convey their concerns about the Governor's proposed massive increases in Oregon's current minimum wage.


"Studies indicate that minimum wages set by governments without regard to the median wage result in substantial job loss and other damages, such as higher daycare costs, no summer jobs for teenagers, higher prices for senior citizens, and budget-busting wage increases for non-profit and charitable organizations. This proposal ($15.52 per hour for Portland; $13.50 per hour for the rest of the state), far from helping low-income people, will damage all of Oregon," said Rep.
