Office of Governor of State of Oregon : Governor Kate Brown Calls for Partnership in Inaugural Address

Salem, OR-In her inaugural address, Governor Kate Brown today called on legislators to work together to bring opportunity to all Oregonians, rural and urban.

'We have to come together and know that we are all on the same side - fighting to make Oregon a better place for all of us to live,' Governor Brown said. 'It is my hope that future generations will look back at this legislative session and say, 'Here is where bright successes were achieved. Here is where the seeds were sown for a good harvest. Here is where a bountiful future for Oregon was planted.''

Governor Brown also announced her agenda for the 2017 Legislative Session, focusing on three key elements to build a successful life: opportunities for good jobs, good health, and a quality education.
