Notice of Introduction of Executive Officer System
Star Micronics Co., Ltd. today announced that at a meeting of
the Board of Directors it resolved to introduce an Executive
Officer System. Accompanying this move, Star Micronics will
appoint executive officers and change the work
responsibilities entrusted to the officers.
1. Reason for Introduction of the System
In order to respond rapidly and flexibly to changes in the
business environment, Star Micronics has decided to introduce
an Executive Officer System to speed up management
decision-making and increase the efficiency of business
execution by management. To do this, the system will separate
the management decision-making and supervisory functions from
the business execution function.
2. Overview of the System
(1) The duties of executive officers and the business
operations for which they will be responsible are to be
decided by the Board of Directors.
(2) The appointment and dismissal of executive officers will
be made by the Board of Directors. (3) Directors are
permitted to serve concurrently as executive officers.
(4) The term of office of the executive officers is one
year.
