Los Angeles, CA (01/07/2019)

10:00 AM

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) is pleased to announce the addition of a team of industrial market leaders led by John DeGrinis as executive managing director, Patrick DuRoss as senior managing director, Jeff Abraham as senior managing director and Kate Borden as brokerage services specialist. The new team will be based in Woodland Hills as part of NKF's expansion into the San Fernando Valley.

'We are committed to building a world-class team of industrial experts to further drive our growth in Southern California. With John and his team, we have a truly robust group dedicated to this exciting market sector,' said NKF CEO Barry M. Gosin.

DeGrinis comes to NKF from Colliers where he served as senior executive vice president. With more than 33 years as a commercial real estate industry veteran, DeGrinis specializes in industrial leasing, sales, land development, and tenant representation in North Los Angeles from the San Fernando Valley to Ventura County. Over the past 10 years, DeGrinis and team have completed transactions totaling more than 25 million square feet and $1.4 billion in consideration.

'John and his team will be game changers for us in the greater Los Angeles market and will be central to our expansion in the valley,' said NKF Executive Vice President, Managing Director Phil Brodkin. 'We plan to bring 10 to 15 brokers into that office. John is a strong leader to help make that happen.'

DeGrinis added,' I appreciate the entrepreneurial and collaborative culture of NKF. It's a great opportunity to continue to build our business and provide more services to our client base.'

DeGrinis is a former SIOR president for Greater Los Angeles. He has received significant industry recognition including the President's Circle Award (1998-2017), Colliers International; Broker of the Year Awards, and numerous other awards over his three-decade career.

'We are building a superior real estate services firm in the greater LA marketplace. This is a dynamic place to do business and NKF is making its mark here with strong talent as the premier brokerage firm,' noted NKF Executive Vice President, Regional Managing Director Greg May.

DuRoss comes to NKF from Colliers where he was a senior vice president. With 14 years of industry experience, DuRoss started his career with Colliers working alongside DeGrinis and has been a top producing broker for Colliers in Southern California.

'Joining NKF is incredibly exciting for our team. We've collectively been with the same company for 70 years so this represents a big step for us. We were drawn to NKF's commitment to their industrial platform. We look forward to making an impact right away,' DuRoss added.

Abraham also comes from Colliers where he began his career in 2008 as part of DeGrinis' team. He has been recognized with many awards such as the 2017 San Fernando Valley Business Journal 'Industrial Sale of the Year' award.

'It's been impressive to watch NKF's expansion in recent years. We are looking forward to planting their flag here in the North Los Angeles region,' concluded Abraham.
