Motorists are asked to avoid Whitford - Maraetai Road in Beachlands following a crash this afternoon.
A truck has hit a power pole and the power lines are down. There were no serious injuries in the crash, which happeend shorty after 4.15pm.
Due to the crash Whitford-Maraetai Road is closed with cordons at Henson Road, Jack Lachland Drive and the main roundabout at Whitford. Diversions are in place.
The road is expected to be closed for some time and motorists are asked to be patient and avoid the area if at all possible.
