Happy New Year! We have been looking back at some of the great achievements of the past year and one thing which really stands out is the important contributions we have had from Women at Hortonworks. We have women engineers contributing to Hortonworks products in various different ways - be it in engineering, customer support, sales, marketing, partner engagement, product management or business relations.
We at Hortonworks constantly aspire for great diversity. We have an initiative called Women at Hortonworks focused on advancing women in technical roles and spreading awareness for the need for a diverse culture. Our program includes sponsorship by leaders, mentorship and participating in events to build women in the tech community.
In this new blog series we will bring forward the diversity in our culture and talk about some of the interesting technical challenges we face in the big data space - batch processing, real time analytics, interactive streaming, security/governance, cloud, etc. We will share journeys, stories and insights from some of the amazing women at Hortonworks who are all striving to build an enterprise ready product. We will talk about inspiring personal stories from successful female tech professionals and hear about what keeps them motivated.
