Dr Koh Poh Koon, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, and National Development will be in Berlin, Germany from 21 - 22 January 2017 for the G20 Agriculture Ministers' Meeting (AMM) and the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA): 9th Berlin Agriculture Ministers' Conference.

Both the G20 AMM and GFFA's discussions centre on the topic of agriculture and water. The focus of both meetings is on fostering sustainability and advancing innovation to achieve sustainable development goals.

Dr Koh said, 'The G20 agriculture meetings are a platform for member economies and invited countries to discuss cross-cutting issues on food security and agriculture. Even though the agriculture sector is small in Singapore, we are moving to transform it. We look forward to sharing Singapore's experience on the use of technology in this area. Just as importantly, we also want to learn from member countries on how they use technology to transform the industry.'

Dr Koh is accompanied by officials from the Ministry of National Development and the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority.
