On August 24, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met at the Foreign Ministry with Minister of National Defence and Veterans' Affairs of Burkina Faso Jean-Claude Bouda, who is in Moscow to attend the Army-2017 International Military-Technical Forum. During the meeting, Mr Bouda passed a personal letter from President of Burkina Faso Roch Marc Kabore to President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
The sides discussed important matters concerning the further development of the traditionally friendly relationship between Russia and Burkina Faso with an emphasis on the need to step up political dialogue, boost trade, economic and investment cooperation and expand humanitarian ties.
