The Consultative meeting between the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France was held today in Ulaanbaatar. The meeting was co-chaired by the Secretary of the State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Mr. D.Davaasuren and the General Director for Directorate for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Thierry Mathou. During the Consultative meeting, both sides have held comprehensive talks on the bilateral relations and cooperation in the areas of politics, trade, investment, economy, energy, mining, agriculture, science, culture, education, defense and disaster management. In addition, the Mongolian side informed of the Government's actions taken towards delisting Mongolia from the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes and sought France's support in excluding Mongolia from this list. The sides have also exchanged views on democracy, human rights, regional and international issues of mutual interest. Both sides have expressed their commitment to fully utilize their potential to upgrade bilateral relations to a new level as well as to intensify the economic cooperation and have agreed to issue a 'Road map' outlining the future objectives of the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and France.
