Chief of General Staff General Hulusi Akar and Head of National Intelligence Organization of Turkey Hakan Fidan met with Chief of Russian General Staff, First Deputy Minister of Defence General of the Army Valery Gerasimov in course of their visit to Moscow.
The sides discussed situation in the Syrian Arab Republic, in particular, issues concerning implementation of current agreements on de-escalations zones functioning as well as on maintenance of ceasefire regime there.
Besides, the sides talked over status and prospects for bilateral military cooperation, and topical security issues in the region.
The talks are considered to be constructive. The sides agreed to continue cooperation.
