MakeMusic was presented with the 2014 Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME) Award for Outstanding Contributions to Technology in Music Education at Winter NAMM in Anaheim, CA earlier this week.

The TI:ME award, co-sponsored by the producers of the NAMM Technical Excellence and Creativity (TEC) Awards, recognizes companies that have made exceptional contributions to the evolution of music technology use in the modern music classroom. Companies were nominated by members of TI:ME and from the submissions MakeMusic was selected as the recipient by the TI:ME Board of Directors.

"We are pleased to award this honor to MakeMusic. The organization has shown outstanding dedication to the world of music education technology with products for today's music educators, including Finale and SmartMusic, as well as other innovative music software," said Mike Lawson, TI:ME Executive Director.

Upon accepting the award, MakeMusic Chief Executive Officer, Karen VanDerBosch stated, "Delivering solutions that support music educators across the country is central to what we do at MakeMusic. To receive this award is a great honor and a wonderful reminder that our customers value our solutions, both today and in the future.
