Kordsa's Composite Technologies Center For Excellence Receives Leed Gold Certificate

The Composite Technologies Center for Excellence, realised by the reinforcement giant Kordsa in collaboration with Sabancı University, received Leed Gold Certificate, which is issued to the buildings designed as energy and environment-friendly and considered as the most important one on the subject.

Bringing Kordsa Global and Sabancı University under the same roof for the technology of the future; the composite materials, The Composite Technologies Center for Excellence received the Leed Certificate, the certificate system enabling green buildings designed as energy and environment-friendly to be graded by the United States Green Building Council, in 'Gold' level. With the certificate, The Composite Technologies Center for Excellence has been registered as 'green building'

Realised in order to produce the technology of the future, the Center is a sustainable and environmentally-conscious building that derives maximum efficiency from the water and electricity sources. And with this form it has, the Center has a structure that entegrates the existing system that is based upon the green buildings in Teknopark where it is located.

The Composite Technologies Center for Excellence that Kordsa realised in collaboraiton with Sabancı University, provides an environment that the basic research, practical applied research, technology development, product development, entrepreneurship, and production processes can all be carried out under the same roof. All the relevant players to these processes; researchers, designers, engineers, managers and staff of the production process, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members and entrepreneurs from incubators will co-exist in this ecosystem. With the Composite Technologies Center for Excellence, Kordsa serves its stakeholders in all the phases of R&D circle starts from the basic research, continues with the prototype production and ends in mass production, according to the customer requirements.
