The Kenyan shilling held steady on Thursday with inflows from remittances offering support against dollar demand from merchandise importers and the manufacturing sector, traders said.

At 0912 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 101.40/60 per dollar, compared with 101.30/50 at Wednesday's close.
