[Attachment] Heading to the NAHB International Builders' Show® (IBS) this month and not sure where to start? Here's some advice from IBS ambassadors to help you make the most of your Las Vegas trek:

Planning Ahead

  1. 'Do your homework before you get on the plane to Vegas. Download the IBS app. And, no, you can't do everything!' - Kathy Browning, CMP, MIRM, CGP, Tidewater Builders Association
  2. 'Get registered early, go to the Official IBS House Party and wear comfortable shoes! The IBS House Party on kick-off night is always a great way to start, and the education sessions and show are outstanding.' - Karen Hall, Building Industry Association of Clark County
  3. 'Plan for three days to see it all.' - Ronald Harris, Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock
  4. 'Set one to three goals of what you need to improve and focus on that.' - Dayson Johnson, Salt Lake Home Builders Association

Prepping for the Day

  1. 'Wear comfortable shoes! No matter what you are interested in doing at the show, you'll likely be walking to get there. As the show continues to grow and add vendors or events, there will be even more ground to cover. You wouldn't want to miss out on 'the next big thing' because your feet were sore.' - Brandon Salisbury, Wichita Area Builders Association
  2. 'Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and make sure to also have backup batteries and chargers.' - Adam Van Bavel, Maryland Building Industry Association

Maximizing Time Onsite

  1. 'Choose a few education sessions you want to attend and plan your day around that. Stay open to last-minute invitations to events.' - Anya Chrisanthon, Building Industry Association of Philadelphia
  2. 'I would recommend spending as much time as possible on the exhibit floor. Expo passes are available at a discount if the attendee registers early enough.' - Shawn Callahan, Roanoke Regional Home Builders Association
  3. 'Start early in the day, rest along the way, and catch the shuttle at 5 p.m.' - Fred Tobin, Building Industry Association of Stark and East Central Ohio
  4. 'Learn. Grow. Share information with your circle of influence. Don't forget to have fun.' - Dale Roberts, Home Builders Association of Lake-Sumter and Volusia Building Industry Association
