Arastoo Khan has been elected as the Chairman of Board of Directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. He was elected in a meeting of the Board of Directors of the bank in a hotel of the capital on January 5, 2017, Thursday. Yousif Abdullah Al Rajhi has been re-elected and Prof. Syed Ahsanul Alam has been elected as Vice-chairmen of the bank in the meeting. Besides, Executive Committee, Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee of the bank have been reformed with Major General (Retd.) Engr. Abdul Matin, Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman and Md. Abdul Mabud, PPM as Chairmen respectively.
The newly elected Chairman of IBBL Arastoo Khan was the Chairman of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited. He was born in a reputed family of the Garpara village under Manikganj district in 1956. He completed MSS from University of Dhaka and Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University, USA.
