PITTSBURGH, Jan. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "I needed a better fastener for deck boards that would stop them from warping, cracking or splitting as the deck ages," said an inventor from Malta, Ohio. "I came up with this idea as an effective solution. It is rust-resistant, easy to install and secures floor boards flush."

He created a prototype for the patent pending DECK CONNECTOR to offer an efficient way to secure decking floor boards together. The fastener holds the boards together so that they are flush. It prevents deck boards from warping, cracking or splitting. This stops board edges from becoming trip-and-fall hazards as the deck ages. The device is made of rust-resistant aluminum for long-lasting use. Additionally, it is usable in the construction of new decks, as well as to repair existing deck surfaces.
