Ikegami is pleased to announce the completion of a large video display wall for the Indian public-service broadcaster Doordarshan. Located at the network's newly upgraded Central Production Centre in Khelgaon, New Delhi, the display wall incorporates 46 Ikegami moni-tors and is one of the biggest of its kind in the world. The monitors integrated into the dis-play wall include Ikegami HLM-2450WB 24-inch and HLM-1705WR 17-inch models. Doordarshan also purchased Ikegami HLM-905WR 9-inch HDTV/SDTV multi-format LCD color monitors as part of this technical upgrade.

The display wall was supplied, installed, fully tested and commissioned by Delhi-based broadcast technology specialist HCL Infosystems together with a transmission playout sys-tem. Dordarshan's Central Production Centre is used mainly to produce programmes for DD Urdu, DD Kisan and DD Sports channels.

Ikegami HLM-2450WB monitor incorporates a 24-inch wide LED-backlit LCD panel and achieves thin size, light weight and low power consumption. Standard features include a multi-format SDI input plus DVI-D and VBS inputs. The HLM-2450WB has wide viewing an-gle, high brightness, high contrast, quick motion response and high quality color reproduction. With its WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, the monitor achieves real pixel al-location without resizing. Superb gradation characteristics make the HLM-2450WB ideal for critical applications such as video post-production.

The Ikegami HLM-1705WR is a 17-inch HDTV/SDTV multi-format LED-backlit LCD monitor designed for use in broadcast control rooms, editing rooms, presentation studios, transmis-sion control suites and outside broadcast vehicles. The HLM-1705WR has a 1920 x 1080 dis-play resolution and is equipped with two SDI signal inputs (compatible with both HD/SD 4:2:2) plus an analogue composite signal input. The monitor also has an internal generator producing color bars and grayscale test patterns.

Compact in size and light in weight, Ikegami's HLM-905WR 9-inch HDTV/SDTV multi-format LCD color monitor incorporates 3G/HDTV/SDTV multi-format SDI and VBS inputs as stand-ard. It employs a WXGA (1280 x 768) panel incorporating the latest IPS technology with LED backlight and wide viewing angle. The HLM-905WR can be rack-mounted in dual monitor configuration and is designed for a wide range of applications.
