Forum Will Immediately Follow 2018 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit's Regular Program

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - This November, Iowans will once again head to the ballot box to select Iowa's next governor. But first, the Iowa Democratic Party will select a nominee during the June primary. To illuminate issues of importance to rural Iowa and clean fuel advocates, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) is hosting a Democratic gubernatorial candidate forum on January 30.

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Forum will take place immediately following the regularly scheduled program for the 2018 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit at the Prairie Meadows Conference Center. Questions will focus on renewable fuels and agriculture policy. Iowa State Senator Nate Boulton and Fred Hubbell, considered by many to be the front-runners for the Democratic nomination, have confirmed their participation.

'We look forward to hosting Sen. Boulton and Mr. Hubbell and discussing their views on issues that are important to Iowans - whether a rural farmer or suburban mom looking for clean, affordable fuel,' said IRFA Policy Director Grant Menke. 'This forum is a great opportunity for voters to hear these candidates' plans for advancing and enhancing Iowa's biofuels and agricultural communities.'

The forum is free and open to the public. Seating will begin at 3:30 p.m. People interested in attending the Summit before the forum can do so for free by preregistering by January 26, 2018.
