ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwired - Jan 14, 2014) - The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) announced today the approval of Wonder Makers Environmental as an Approved IAQA Training Provider. Wonder Makers Environmental has been approved to deliver the IAQA Mold Remediation Technician Course by IAQA's Education Committee.

To become an Approved IAQA Training Provider, a company must undergo a rigorous review process conducted by education professionals and industry peers of course materials, instructor qualifications, and other evaluation criteria. Among organizations providing IAQ educational courses, IAQA is one of the few that requires course providers to undergo such a demanding review process by a volunteer committee.

"The IAQA Education Committee is devoted to approving high quality instructional programs," said Larry Robertson, CIAQP, chair of the committee. "Wonder Makers Environmental is a proven leader with a great track record in the restoration and microbial education arenas, and IAQA is elated to have the company among our select group of Approved Training Providers," Robertson added.

The team at Wonder Makers cares about people and how the environment impacts their lives. To this end, the company's focus has been on improving conditions inside buildings since 1988. From their founding, Wonder Makers Environmental has been committed to sharing knowledge through the development and presentation of training courses that are based on real world experience. They have become an educational leader in the control of indoor contaminants such as asbestos, lead, infectious agents, radiation, chemicals, odors, and mold.

Wonder Makers Environmental provides a wide range of training programs for individuals in the cleaning, restoration, and building management/investigation industries. Their classes and seminars combine technical expertise with real world experience so that the participants take away information that allows them to make immediate improvements in their operation. The Mold Remediation Technician course includes classroom discussion and hands-on activities, including a respirator fit test demonstration. The three days of training explains how mold grows, what it does to people, how to set up isolation barriers and how to safely complete specific removal and cleaning tasks. The class uses the book Fungal Contamination: A Comprehensive Guide for Remediation as the primary text. For more information about Wonder Makers Environmental Mold Remediation Technician training courses, click here: Mold Classes. For their complete course schedule, click here: Schedule.
