Hirzel.Neef.Schmid.Counselors extend activities in Suisse romande
Geneva/Zurich/Bern, January 31st, 2018 - Roger Gaberell, Skyguide's head of communications up until 2017, will be joining the Geneva office of Hirzel.Neef.Schmid.Counselors, one of Switzerland's leading Swiss communications and business consultancies, as of February 1. With this appointment, the company is developing its activities in the French-speaking part of the country (Suisse romande) and strengthening links between the different linguistic regions.
For the past nine years, Roger Gaberell has headed up Corporate Communications for Skyguide, the Swiss civil and military air traffic controller, as a member of the extended Executive Board. In this position, and previously as deputy head of communications, Roger Gaberell accompanied Skyguide throughout several crisis periods and was instrumental in developing the company's reputation and positioning. Roger Gaberell trained as a linguist and mediator, studying and working at the Universities of Zurich and Geneva.
Roger Gaberell has many years of experience in communications and in engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders. Throughout his career, he has also managed communications in many exceptional situations. His core skills include:
- Issues management
- Development of communications strategies and operational support in their implementation
- Relationship-building and engagement with stakeholders
- Preparation, support and management of crisis communications
- Accompaniment of strategic projects and change management
- (Re-)positioning of organizations and leaders
