In Ho Chi Minh City HDBank and Japanese Financial Institution entered into a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement.

Accordingly, HDBank will provide Japanese customers with the optimal service package, whereby Japanese customers guaranteed by the Japanese Financial Institution shall enjoy preferential interest rate as the same as that applied by HDBank to cash-secured loans. This cooperation is expected to bring comprehensive benefits to both parties as well as to offer great support to other partners of Japanese businesses, and the common customers of the Japanese Financial Institution in Vietnam.

This cooperation agreement targets SME customers, especially HDBank's customers with Japanese investment. At the same time, it's is planed to help HDBank get closer to its goal of becoming a leading bank for small-and-medium-sized enterprises, FDI enterprises of various sizes, including small-and-medium-sized businesses either as chains or as independent entities.

Previously, HDBank launched Japanese Desk service in September 2014 to provide comprehensive financial services for the targeted customers being Japanese enterprises operating in Vietnam. Since then, in the course of cooperation with 7 other banks and financial groups from Japan, the Japanese customer department at HDBank has constantly improved and improved the quality of services, building and enhancing HDBank's image as a brand of prestige, sustainable financial sources, diversified product portfolio, convenience in the circle of Japanese businesses.

In the near future, HDBank will expand its portfolio of products and services to better serve Japanese customers in Vietnam, especially 1,300 Japanese enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City.

Japanese Financial Institution is a public organization, 100% owned by the Japanese government. It is founded upon the merger of four financial institutions, and operates as a financial-policy organization providing financial support to Japanese businesses in agriculture, seafood, food sector and other small and medium enterprises. Currently, the Japanese Financial Institution is directly funding 44,000 companies in Japan, about 520 of which have established legal entities in Vietnam.
