By Kuwait - 13 January 2013: Gulf Bank has announced Salama Mohammad Mutlaq Al Rahaili as the Al Danah Millionaire of 2012. The draw for the winner was the highlight of a special Al Danah Millionaire event at The Avenues mall on 10 January, held under the supervision of a Ministry of Commerce representative.
Marina FM hosts Khaled Al-Ansari and Ossama Fouda opened the event at 7pm, conducting a quick fire question and answer session with the crowd about the Bank, rewarding correct answers with vouchers with values ranging between KD500 to KD1000 to spend at any X-cite store or Safat Home in Kuwait. During the evening, Hadeel Al Fadhli and Khaled Al Otaibi from Gulf Bank's External Relations department engaged with the audience, helping to raise excitement and anticipation for the Al Danah Millionaire announcement. The Bank also included a special Gulf Bank Al Danah booth at the event so that people could enquire about Al Danah and register their names for the on-the-spot prizes.
Gulf Bank unveiled new draws for the Al Danah line-up in 2013, increasing customers' chances to become winners. From 13 January, Al Danah draws will be made daily and two customers per working day will each win KD1000. Quarterly draws for the major prizes will continue, the first on 28 March, will include two new cash prizes of KD200,000 and KD25,000 in addition to KD125,000. The second quarterly draw for cash prizes of KD25,000, KD125,000 and KD250,000 will be held on 27 June, and the third quarterly draw will be on 26 September for prizes of KD25,000, KD125,000 and KD500,000. The final draw will be on 9 January 2014 and will be for cash prizes of KD50,000, KD250,000, as well as announcing the Al Danah Millionaire for 2013, who will receive 1 Million Dinars.
The highlight of the event, the draw and announcement of the winner of the 1 Million Dinars, was made 'live' on stage and confirmed by Mr. Fawzy Al-Thunayan, General Manager of Board Affairs at Gulf Bank and Mr. Aly Shalaby, General Manager of Consumer Banking Group, who personally signed the winner's cheque.
Ten weekly winners of KD1000 were also drawn and their names announced during the event. The whole evening was live streamed through Gulf Bank's website, making the Bank the first in Kuwait to offer this service to its customers.
Gulf Bank's Al Danah account offers a number of unique services, including the Al Danah Deposit Only ATM card, and an Al Danah online calculator to help customers calculate their chances of becoming an Al Danah winner. Every Al Danah account holder with KD200 or more in their account on the closing date of each Al Danah draw is eligible to win and is automatically entered.
