Mr. Boatright received his B.A. in Economics with Honors from the University of Missouri in 2007 and his J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Missouri in 2010, where he was Lead Articles Editor of the Missouri Law Review and inducted into the Order of the Coif. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2013. Mr. Boatright is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. He serves on the Legal Aid of Western Missouri – Justice for All Campaign Leadership Committee.

Mr. Boatright serves as special tax counsel for a wide variety of public finance and public-private partnership transactions. He has advised State and local governments, non-profit organizations, and bond counsel on numerous infrastructure projects including hospital, single-family and multi-family housing, economic development, airport, sports arena, K-12 and higher educational financings. Mr. Boatright has substantial experience practicing before the Internal Revenue Service, representing non-profit organizations in applications for tax exemption as well as issuers and borrowers in audits of their bond issuances. He frequently assists both issuers and borrowers with post-issuance compliance responsibilities and has experience with secondary market securitizations.
