Germany hired banks as joint lead managers for the upcoming launch of a new 30-year benchmark, the August 2054-dated Bund, with the transaction to be launched and priced in the near future, subject to market conditions, one of the banks said Monday.

The banks hired for the upcoming transaction are BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, Citi (DM/B&D), Commerzbank, Credit Agricole CIB and J.P. Morgan.
