Dates and locations have been announced for the 2015 Western Australian Regional Crop Updates, which can help equip grain growers with the latest research results applicable to their area.

Supported by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA), 12 updates will be held throughout the WA grainbelt in March.

Growers in the central and eastern grainbelt are encouraged to diarise the following dates:

  • Western Australian No-Tillage Farmers Association (WANTFA) - March 3 - Cunderdin Sports Club
  • Corrigin Farm Improvement Group - March 12 - Corrigin
  • Far Eastern Ag Research Group - March 4 - Moorine Rock Tennis Club

GRDC western regional panel chairman Peter Roberts encouraged growers to attend the events to access relevant and timely information to help them boost farm productivity and profitability.

"The independent program committees for the central and eastern grainbelt updates has been guided by issues identified by GRDC's Regional Cropping Solutions Networks and papers to be presented will focus on local grower priorities," he said.
