CareMore Health announced today that Dr. Robert Accordino will lead the organization’s psychological health programs as its new Chief of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. In this role, Dr. Accordino will provide leadership and oversight of CareMore’s mental health strategy and programs across the organization. During the year-long program, Dr. Accordino worked with the Secretary of Defense on matters regarding healthcare delivery, service and technology.

“Dr. Accordino’s years of experience and knowledge in the field of psychiatry will play a vital role in advancing CareMore’s behavioral health programs and the care that we offer to our patients,” said Dr. Sachin H. Jain, President of CareMore Health. “He shares our commitment to serving populations that are often underserved, and I am thrilled to welcome him to the CareMore Health leadership team where he will no doubt be an asset.”

Dr. Accordino received his Doctor of Medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, his Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University and his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. Board certified in general psychiatry, he completed his residency in psychiatry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Weill Cornell Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Massachusetts General and McLean Hospital of Harvard Medical School. While a first year medical student Dr. Accordino founded Music for Autism, a non-profit organization that establishes fully subsidized and free music concerts for individuals with autism and their families. Today the organization is eleven years old and has programs in twelve cities across four states.

“I feel immensely privileged to join an organization like CareMore Health that provides holistic care of patients and understands the importance of addressing both mental and physical health,” says Dr. Accordino. “I look forward to working with the CareMore team to continue to elevate the company’s behavioral health offerings, further solidifying its reputation as an industry leader in care delivery.”
