Moving into its second decade of continuing growth, capital markets research and consulting firm TABB Group announced today that former IDC Research senior executive Brien Henderson has been named partner and managing director, sales and marketing, responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, management and execution for global sales, client services and marketing for both TABB Group and TabbFORUM. Reporting to Larry Tabb, founder and CEO, he also joins the firm's executive management team.

Henderson brings over 25 years of experience analyzing, marketing, managing and selling sophisticated, subscription-based industry research and consulting services, eLearning content and technology and hardware and banking application software solutions to Global 2000 organizations, financial institutions, technology providers and consulting firms in both international and U.S. markets.

With this appointment, Mike Ross, partner and vice president, takes on a new role as head of business development, a new position at TABB, focusing directly on clients and their market-driven strategies covering research, consulting, program-based content marketing, M&A strategy/due diligence and other corporate development needs.

"After ten years of growth, we wanted to build an even more effective sales and marketing structure, extending brand presence deeper into the Americas, across Europe as well as emerging markets and Asia," says Tabb. "With Brien, we gain senior capital markets research sales management expertise and a fresh, new perspective to support our sales and marketing team. Coupled with Mike's creativity and drive to help our clients succeed, I believe we're now better positioned to deliver TABB's full suite of research products and consulting services to our clients."

Henderson joins TABB from IDC Research, where from 2007 to 2013 he was group vice president, worldwide sales, charged with re-starting IDC's vertical industry efforts and instilling a high-growth culture, responsible for all sales, sales operations and client services staff and results. At IDC, he also served as vice president for worldwide sales from 2002 to 2007 for the Financial Insights research division. From 1995 to 2000, he was a member of the senior management team and head of sales and marketing at TowerGroup, now CEB TowerGroup, before the firm was purchased by Reuters. His career background includes sales management positions at SKILLSOFT Corporation, Matrix Marketing and NSS Corp, where he managed EMEA operations. He earned an A.B. from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME and an M.A. from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

"Over the past ten years, TABB Group has earned the reputation as a trusted provider of research-based advisory services in the capital markets offering superior client experience," says Henderson. "Three years ago, with the launch of TabbFORUM, the company embraced the community at large and established an open forum for important issues to be voiced. As we expand in both our content and our reach, I look forward to working with our team to help our clients and industry partners find solutions to their challenges and needs in this extremely dynamic marketplace."

Henderson will be introduced publicly, meeting with TABB clients at the January 16th TabbFORUM industry conference, "Fixed Income 2014: Breaking Rates," in New York City at the TimesCenter.
