June 18 (Reuters) - Foreign holdings of U.S. Treasuries declined in April from a record high in March, data from the Treasury Department showed on Tuesday.

Holdings of U.S. Treasuries fell to $8.018 trillion in April from a revised $8.084 trillion in March.

Japan's stash of Treasuries shrank to $1.150 trillion in April from a 19-month high of $1.188 trillion in March. Japan remains the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury securities. China, which is No. 2, saw its holdings rise to $771 billion from $767 billion in March. (Reporting by Alden Bentley; Editing by Leslie Adler)
