Luis Lopez of City Hallin the Miami Arts and Entertainment District
Executive Chef Luis Lopez was born and educated in Puerto Rico.
Cooking and creating is his passion and he loved being in the kitchen with his mother and grandmothers who taught him all the basics and to open his mind to creativity.
As a young man, he moved to Miami and worked in several restaurants to learn his craft. His first big break came when he was given the position of Sous Chef at the brand new Williams Island.
He continued his passion and moved on to Soyka Restaurant as Executive Chef for several years and under the leadership of Steve Haas.
In 2012, Luis was given the position of executive chef of the world famous City Hall the Restaurant. Luis Lopez's future looks very bright while he looks forward in moving into the position of corporate Chef with the future expansion of City Hall the Restaurant.
