Family Care Partners is pleased to announce the addition of two medical practices to the rapidly expanding Colonial Healthcare network: Santee Cooper Primary Care and Santee Cooper Urgent Care, both in Manning, S.C. The acquisitions were finalized December 30, 2016, after the passing in June of Dr. Gerald Kenneth “Ken” Johnson, who founded both practices. The practices will continue to accept new patients, and there are plans to increase on-site services.

“Because of the experience and reputations of the physicians and staff at Santee, we are excited that these practices are joining our network,” said Thomas Watson, CEO of Colonial Healthcare. “We look forward to a long-term relationship with the Santee team and continuing to serve the Manning community.”

“The entire staff and team at Santee Cooper Primary Care and Urgent Care are proud to carry on Dr. Johnson’s caring legacy to our community,” said Angie Jackson Johnson, widow of Dr. Johnson. “We chose Colonial Healthcare to carry this legacy forward. Their experience and resources will allow the practices to thrive, as well as make sure our loyal patients and staff have the support they deserve.”

Colonial Healthcare is owned and managed by Family Care Partners. It now operates across six counties in South Carolina.
