Tying into its recent "Inside Out" holiday themes and Dr. Tim Bruster's current "In This New Year" sermon series, First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth is offering the Intensive Journal® Workshop, led by Rev. Dr. Wally Chappell, January 24-26 to anyone interested in intentional reflection on their own life's path and choices -- past, present and future.

The Intensive Journal® Workshop is a nationally recognized program developed by Ira Progoff, Ph.D., in 1966 that has helped more than 175,000 people lead more fulfilling lives (learn more at www.intensivejournal.org). FUMC Fort Worth Staff Parish Relations Committee Chair Paul Bodley, who brought the workshop to FUMC Fort Worth because of his own positive experience with the process, says he believes the workshop will benefit anyone at any stage of life.

"When I signed up for the Intensive Journal® Workshop led by Wally Chappell ten years ago, I had no idea that a life changing experience was about to take place," Bodley says. "This is so much more than a class about journaling. It is about finding the insight and wisdom that lives (sometimes unknowingly) within us -- and using a process to understand the flow of my life and where it might be taking me. Using what I've learned in the workshop has helped me work out issues, take action on my ideas, and enhance my relationship with God."

The January 24-26 Intensive Journal® Workshop, which takes place in three sessions (Friday 5:00-8:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00-5:00 pm) is the first part of this two-part process. For those who want to go deeper into this special method for evaluating, clarifying and deepening your connections to your deepest priorities and concerns, Part II of the Workshop will follow at FUMC Fort Worth February 28-March 1.

Tuition for the workshop (includes course and materials, Dr. Progoff's book, refreshments and a light lunch on Saturday) is $145 per person for Part I, or $280 for both Part I and Part II. A $50 deposit will hold your reservation, and student discounts and continuing education credits are available. Sign up online today at www.fumcfortworth.org/journal-workshop.
