The Board of Directors of EMS Energy Limited (the "Company") wishes to announce that its subsidiary, Koastal Eco Industries Co. Ltd. ("KEI"), has been awarded a contract worth Vietnamese Dong 43,700,000,000 (approximately S$2.8 million) by Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Bac Ninh Co., Ltd ("VSIP Bac Ninh"), a customer in Vietnam, for the construction of phase 2 of a sewerage treatment plant at the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (the "Contract"). The Contract is expected to be completed in 1Q2017. In addition, KEI has been awarded three other sewerage treatment system contracts with an aggregate value of Vietnamese Dong 26,510,252,000 (approximately S$1.7 million) by three other Vietnamese customers in January 2016.
Barring unforeseen circumstances and based on the current construction schedule, the Group is expected to recognise most of the revenue for the abovementioned contracts for the current financial year ending 31 December 2016.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of the Company has an interest, direct or indirect, in the above transactions, other than through their shareholdings in the Company.
