ELUON (CEO Seungku Yi), the next-generation communications solution provider, announced on 10th that it signed a MRF (Multimedia Resource Function) supply contract for IMS, the next-generation communications service, with Samsung Electronics.
ELUON, under the KRW 3 billion-worth contract, will supply equipment including commercial solutions and expansion supplies for the next five years, starting with TB (Test Bed).
Samsung Electronics is building the network for 3UK, a UK-based telecom service provider, across the UK, as part of its program for the European LTE market entry. 3UK is a subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa, a Hong Kong telecom service provider. ELUON's MRF will be used for the LTE service as the IMS network system of 3UK.
MRF is a high-performance media platform, which enables controlling and management of various multimedia services for subscribers; and codec transcoding. In addition, it is expected that MRF will contribute to deployment of the mobile office on mobile devices as the key video conference system which integrates video and voice data of meeting attendees into one channel and transmit the data in real time.

ELUON supplies MRF and the LTE mobile data system to LG U+, and supplies and operates key systems of KT, including voice, data and additional service systems of WCDMA and LTE.
