January 21, 2014 - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, and Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird will highlight Canada's free trade leadership and economic success at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), to be held from January 22 to 25, 2014, in Davos, Switzerland.

Minister Fast's program includes meetings with his counterparts and with businesses leaders in order to advance Canada's pro-trade plan and key trade priorities, as outlined in the government's recently announced Global Markets Action Plan. He will also highlight the benefits and tremendous opportunities that exist for Canadian businesses and their workers now that an historic agreement-in-principle has been reached with the European Union.

Minister Fast will also meet with representatives of Canadian companies present in Davos, host an event with Minister Baird to promote Canada as an investment destination of choice and attend a WTO Informal Ministerial Gathering on the margins of the WEF.
