New Hartford, Ct. (January 13, 2016): Troopers from Troop B-North Canaan and Detectives from Western District Major Crime (WDMC) are investigating an attempted armed robbery reported at Radwick's Coffee and Deli in New Hartford.

On January 12, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Troopers responded to Radwick's Coffee and Deli, also referred to as the Bakerville Store, located at 1165 Litchfield Turnpike (Rte 202) in the Bakerville section of New Hartford for a reported attempted armed robbery.
Upon arrival troopers secured the scene, and troopers and K9 teams searched the area for suspects, none were located. Troopers also spoke with the store clerk who relayed that a lone male suspect entered the store, displayed a black handgun, and demanded cash. The male suspect attempted to retrieve cash from the cash register, but failed to do so and exited the store. The male suspect was seen leaving on foot towards Cotton Hill Rd. and may have entered a vehicle. WDMC responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. No injuries were reported.

The male suspect is described as a white male, approx. 5'8' tall, approx. 140-150lbs with a thin build, blonde hair, and blue or green eyes. The male suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black fleece-style neck warmer pulled up to his nose, and a black baseball cap.
