The Argentine lower chamber was debating on Thursday the bill proposed by libertarian President Javier Milei to overhaul the South American country's economy that is buckling under high debt loads, with inflation running at over 200% and myriad capital controls to protect the peso.
Milei faces a major challenge to push the bill through with his coalition only having a minority in both chambers, which means he has to win over allies.
