ChoiceOne Bank has announced various relief solutions to customers and others in the community that are federal employees and affected by the recent partial government shutdown.

'As the local community bank, our focus is on the people in our communities,' said President and CEO Kelly Potes. 'When our customers and others in our communities are struggling because of the recent government shutdown, we want to do whatever we can to help lighten this financial burden.'

Effective immediately, ChoiceOne Bank will offer these options to customers who are federal employees and affected by the partial government shutdown:

  • Skip a payment on eligible personal loans
  • Waive fees on new short-term personal loans
  • Courtesy waived overdraft fees on request
  • Waive early withdrawal penalties on CDs
  • Financial wellness review
